Unauthorized Use Agreement

In considering the restrictions desired by licensors, licensees should bear in mind that the fair dealing rights provisions of copyright law can be changed through a negotiated contract. If a license agreement explicitly recognizes fair use or does not say how to copy or not license licensed material, fair dealing applies, but if the parties agree to more restrictive restrictions on copying than what copyright law otherwise allows, the licensee cannot subsequently claim more extensive rights under the law. 16.1.1.
